Role Overview

SIERRA BIOREFINERY

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the safety, reliability, operability, and maintainability of all Sierra BioFuels Biorefinery and Feedstock Processing Facility assets by identifying and resolving asset risks that could adversely affect operations and by implementing enhancements to improve facility reliability. This role includes performing downtime and defect identification and elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management through the implementation of process improvement opportunities.

Qualification Requirements

  • Qualification requirements include a technical undergraduate degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering, and at least 5 years of maintenance and reliability experience in the refining industry.

Role Overview

SIERRA BIOREFINERY AND FEEDSTOCK PROCESSING FACILITY

The Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Technician’s primary responsibility is to maintain the controls hardware, instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical equipment at the Sierra Biorefinery and Feedstock Processing Facility (FPF).

Other key responsibilities include the performance of preventive maintenance programs for the equipment and troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed. I&E Technicians also assist in the management of all spare parts for instrument, electrical and analytical (IEA) equipment.

Qualification Requirements

  • Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of electrical, instrument and on-line analyzer operation and maintenance experience in the refining or chemical processing industry. An Associate degree or higher in electronics, process instrumentation or a related field is preferred.

Role Overview

SIERRA BIOREFINERY

The primary responsibility of the Process Engineer is to work closely with the Sierra waste-to-fuel operations, engineering, maintenance and reliability teams to support all aspects of the safe and successful start-up, as well as ongoing operations, of the Sierra plant. The position, which is located at the Sierra Biorefinery near Reno, NV, will be heavily involved with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving various chemical, engineering and process challenges related to start-up and operational activities.

Qualification Requirements

  • Qualification requirements include a Chemical Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years working as a Process Engineer at a petrochemical/refinery plant.

CLEMSON, SC - ENGINEERING OFFICE

The Mechanical Project Engineer will manage the technical and engineering efforts of Fulcrum-led projects and Fulcrum-licensed projects. Working alongside the Project Development Team, the Mechanical Project Engineer will lead project-related efforts to ensure the successful delivery of engineering, while supporting site selection, permitting and the overall execution of each project from early-stage development, detailed design and construction and commissioning phases of the project.
