No Subsidies Needed

Depending on the type of biofuel, many studies have shown that the cost of the feedstock can be as much as 80 percent of the total cost of the fuel. Our long term, national agreements with waste services companies ensure us a stream of fixed, zero-cost MSW feedstock, meaning that we’ve eliminated a significant portion of the cost in making renewable fuels. As such, we can make advanced biofuels at a price lower than any other alternative fuel, and significantly lower than petroleum.

At a time when the US Government is examining every expense in an effort to reduce the deficit, subsidy has become a four-letter word. While we strongly believe in the connection between renewable fuels and national energy policy, our model is unique: we don’t require subsidies to make our fuel price-competitive with petroleum fuel.
