Low-Carbon, Domestic Fuels

Right now, our country imports more than 60 percent of the oil we consume – of which 20 percent from countries or regimes with whom we would otherwise not likely do business.  As such, the US Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007  Renewable Fuel Standards Program (RFS) were put in place to stimulate production of domestic fuels that reduce overall carbon emissions, create jobs and decrease our nation’s dependence on imported oil.

Our fuel will qualify as an “Advanced Biofuel” under the RFS, meaning it meets the stringent specifications for carbon emissions reductions.  Independent analysis of our fuel shows a net lifecycle reduction in CO2 emissions of more than 75 percent compared to petroleum fuels.  We will be among the first companies to produce advanced biofuels in any meaningful commercial capacity beginning in 2013.
